Tree Swallow, 2008

While living in Vancouver, Canada, I found a poster with an image of a Tree Swallow on it.  I bought, then folded the poster and sent it in an envelope to a friend who was living in Costa Rica.  I also sent instructions asking for the poster to be returned to me by air mail.  The flight pattern of the postal service mimicked the Tree Swallow’s typical migratory path from Vancouver (which is its northern-most point of migration) to its southern-most point of migration which in Costa Rica -- the whole process creating one complete, migratory loop.
