To Cumshewa, 2010
In late summer of 2010, I borrowed a puzzle piece from a puzzle set being sold at the Vancouver Art Gallery's book store. The puzzle set depicted a painting by Emily Carr that she had made on a trip to the Haida Village site of Cumshewa. I travelled with this puzzle piece to the now abandoned village site of Cumshewa, after which I returned to Vancouver and put the piece back into the box, sealed it, and placed it amongst the other sets to be sold at the book store.
First exhibited at the Vancouver Art Gallery, Vancouver, BC, as part of Everything Everyday, 2010.
