Ember, 2010

The purpose of this gesture was to figure out how to carry a continuously burning ember, started in Vancouver, Canada, across the border to Seattle, U.S.A..  My solution was to light a cigarette in Vancouver and to continuously light cigarettes, one off of the other, until I reached Seattle.

Exhibited at Western Bridge, Seattle, WA, as part of the New Year Project Series, 2010.
